DATELINE: Coober Pedy, Australia

(Click map for more useful detail)

Author: Andy

Something i noticed last night:

it didn't seem like there were any australian guests in our hotel. It was all germans french and israelis.

It's almost as if aussies know better than to come here at this time of year.

As for me, i'd argue the best time of year to come here is when you're already in australia to begin with.

Sleeping in an underground cave plays some tricks on you. There's no sunlight at all so you have no real visual cue that morning has arrived.

G'day Andy. I hoped you enjoyed your stay in our town. Sleeping above ground is pretty unique to us, all that light and noise, don't know how you do it. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip around Oz.
